Spring is an important time to weed the heavier wheat items like bread and pasta out of your diet in favour of lighter whole grains to prevent and clear out excess mucus that naturally happens after winter season.

Garlic
Onions
Daslook (wild garlic)
Strawberries
Asparagus
Fava beans
Salad greens (raapsteel, mustard greens, rucola)
Peas
Fennel
Rhubarb

Then substitute the following for your pasta & bread:

  1. Buckwheat
  2. Millet
  3. Teff

Which are drier and less Kapha provoking than wheat.
