Spring is an important time to weed the heavier wheat items like bread and pasta out of your diet in favour of lighter whole grains to prevent and clear out excess mucus that naturally happens after winter season. Here are 15 seasonal foods that  you can include in your diet this spring:

Add these 15 Seasonal Foods in Your Diet This Spring:

  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Daslook (wild garlic)
  • Strawberries
  • Asparagus
  • Fava beans
  • Salad greens (raapsteel, mustard greens, rucola)
  • Peas
  • Fennel
  • Rhubarb

Then substitute the following for your pasta & bread:

  • Buckwheat
  • Millet
  • Teff
